Irregular Heartbeats, or Arrhythmias

Irregular heartbeats, or arrhythmias, are extra beats of the heart, which run the gamut from being of no health risk to absolutely life-threatening. We get extra beats of the heart from time to time, and not all are dangerous. When 24-hour heart rhythm monitoring is done (wearing a device called a Holter) on individuals with no signs of cardiac problems, extra heartbeats will show up occasionally during that period. Generally if a patient is asymptomatic, there is no concern.

What Makes The Human Spine ?

spine left+sideview What Makes The Human Spine ?Vertebrae are the bones that surround and protect the spinal cord, which carries nerve signals to and from the brain. Between the vertebrae are intervertebral disks , pads of cartilage filled with a gel-like substance that act as spinal shock absorbers. Facet joints connect the vertebrae to each other and permit back motion. Ligaments are elastic bands of tissue that prevent the vertebrae from slipping out of line as the spine moves. Nerves branch out from the spinal cord to go to other parts of the body.
